History of Bunzl Processor Division/Koch Supplies

History of Bunzl - KochKoch Supplies is one of the oldest businesses in Kansas City, establishing its roots as Koch Butcher Supply Company over 125 years ago. In 1883, Koch Supplies began as a partnership formed by Arthur Koch. A large amount of the products that we carry today had their humble beginnings many years ago. For example, in 1908, a big seller was a butcher’s steel manufactured by F. Dick Company in Esslingen, Germany, located near Stuttgart. Now more than 103 years later, this same F. Dick steel is still listed in our catalog and sold to the industry. Koch Supplies takes pride in its renowned past and, in fact, the grandchildren of people who started doing business with Koch Supplies during the World War II era are now running many of our best customers’ businesses. And many of the associates at Koch Supplies have tenure of over 20 years, with their relatives and children working alongside them.

In 2001, Koch Supplies became a proud part of Bunzl Processor Division – a leader in the food processing and food packaging industries. Bunzl Processor Division offers more than 10,000 different supply items and 16 distribution centers serving Central and North America, including the Caribbean and Mexico. But even though Koch has grown in size and scope, we still continue the tradition of outstanding customer service that our customers have come to expect of us over the years - while ever expanding our product lines to fit our customers needs.
